Desogestrel Ethinylestradiol Ferrous Fumarate Tablets are combined oral contraceptive pills (COCs) containing two main active ingredients—Desogestrel (a progestogen) and Ethinylestradiol (an estrogen). In addition, Ferrous Fumarate (iron supplement) is included in the non-hormonal tablets taken during the pill-free days to prevent iron deficiency and maintain regular intake habits. This combination ensures effective contraception while supporting women’s overall health during menstruation.
It is a low-dose hormonal contraceptive pill formulated to provide safe, effective, and reversible birth control. Each cycle typically includes 21 active hormonal tablets followed by 7 Ferrous Fumarate tablets. The hormone combination prevents ovulation, alters cervical mucus to block sperm penetration, and changes the endometrial lining to prevent implantation.
